About Me
Hi, I’m Alice
Throughout my work with diverse communities and individuals, I have come to believe that viewing physical and psychological symptoms solely as problems to be fixed or diagnosed is not always helpful. Instead, I approach each person holistically, using current challenges as signposts pointing to deeper areas that require attention and healing. Utilising different approaches, I guide participants to notice what emerges during sessions and encourage curiosity, allowing them to explore at their own pace.
Grounded in trauma-informed care and attachment theory, I recognise that each person's life experiences shape them in unique ways. I tailor each session to meet individual needs, ensuring a supportive and safe space for exploration. I am dedicated to embracing diversity and fostering an environment where people feel comfortable to explore and heal.

In the early stages of my career as a therapeutic specialist and trauma support worker, I worked with young people who had experienced neglect and abuse, many of whom were living in kinship or out-of-home care. My focus was on exploring the connection between creativity, attachment, and trauma.
As an Art Therapist and group facilitator at VACCA, I gained valuable insights into the crucial role that cultural connection plays in the healing process. I helped facilitate safe and creative spaces for Aboriginal children and their families to engage in art-making, storytelling, and community building. In my more recent roles at Gateway Health and Centacare, I have worked with individuals and families facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, self-harm, relationship breakdown, and school refusal. In these positions, I additionally provided therapeutic guidance and consultations as a team manager.
